You are only limited by your imagination as to what you can achieve in life. I wanted to be able to help people in my community get well, so that they can get back to enjoying the many great things that this city has to offer. The amazing weather, restaurants, shopping, entertainment, ease of access to an international airport, and quality of life is what makes Las Vegas unique and is what brought me back home. My dream is to go snow skiing in the morning at Mount Charleston, boating in the afternoon at Lake Mead, and hit the golf course in the early evening, all in one day. Like many Las Vegans, I appreciate all that this city has to offer in terms of outdoor activities such as Mount Charleston, Red Rock, and Lake Mead.

I wanted to be able to apply my professional training to a community where I have a connection. Las Vegas is my home and I love the community and its people. Why did you choose to return to Las Vegas to practice medicine? All of these activities helped me immensely to lead me on the right path to become a doctor. During my time at UNLV, I participated in research, was active in a fraternity, and held leadership positions in the Association of Pre-Health Professionals. UNLV gave me a strong foundation to be a successful medical student, which has transitioned well into a successful career as a physician. I help patients fight cancer every day, which is both challenging and rewarding. I am a radiation oncologist with Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, the largest multispecialty oncology group in Nevada. UNLV had a very strong program that prepared me for getting accepted into medical school and succeeding in post-secondary education.

I always liked science and knew I wanted to go to medical school. Why did you choose the area of study that you did? In 2006, I completed my residency training in radiation oncology at McGill University Health Center in Montreal where I was Chief Resident. I then completed my internship in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 2002. I received my Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 2001. Graduated from UNLV:ġ996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. I loved Las Vegas and still do, and realized I could get a first class education at a great school without going into debt.
